1. Agreement to Terms
By visiting thevillagepostoffice.com or purchasing a subscription, you agree to these Terms of Service and our Refund Policy and Privacy Policy, which are part of these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the site or place an order.
2. Who Can Use This Site
The Village Post Office is a mail subscription designed for children, purchased and managed by a parent or legal guardian. You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into this agreement to create an account or make a purchase. By subscribing, you confirm you're the parent or guardian of the child receiving the mailings, or have that person's permission to provide their information and mailing address.
3. The Subscription
Each subscription delivers a monthly mailing to the address you provide, for the term you select (monthly, 6-month, or annual). Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each term at the then-current price unless canceled. You can cancel anytime through your account or by contacting us — cancellation stops future billing and mailings but does not refund payments already made, per our Refund Policy. We'll make reasonable efforts to notify you before any price change takes effect on a renewal.
4. Shipping
We mail to addresses within [the regions you ship to]. It's your responsibility to keep your mailing address current — we're not responsible for mailings sent to an outdated address you didn't update.
5. Content Submissions
If you send in a child's artwork or other content for possible inclusion in a future mailing or on our website (e.g., the art gallery), you confirm you have the right to submit it and grant us permission to reproduce, display, and feature it in our mailings, on our website, and in our marketing, without compensation. We may decline to feature any submission for any reason.
6. Our Content Belongs to Us
Treehouse Village, its characters (including Palki the Postmaster), stories, artwork, and all related materials are owned by The Village Post Office and protected by copyright and trademark law. Your subscription gives you a personal, non-commercial license to use and enjoy the physical materials you receive — it doesn't give you the right to reproduce, resell, publicly perform, or create derivative works from our characters or content.
7. A Note on Physical Materials
Mailings include paper goods such as cards, stickers, and craft activities. Adult supervision is recommended for young children during craft activities. Materials are intended for the child's personal enjoyment and are not toys certified for unsupervised use by very young children.
8. Disclaimer of Warranties
The site and subscription are provided "as is." We don't guarantee the site will be uninterrupted or error-free, and we make no warranties beyond what's described in these Terms and our Refund Policy.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the extent permitted by law, The Village Post Office isn't liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the site or subscription. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose.
10. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We'll post the revised version here with an updated date. Continuing to use the site or your subscription after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
